Welcome to LongMile Aussies!  We absolutely love Australian Shepherds and Miniature American Shepherds.  We have both registries with most dogs double registered.  To us it is all about preserving the breed so our focus is on Aussies that look like Aussies large and small.   Our dogs are inside, outside and at work with us as we navigate this crazy world.

We have tons of fun training and showing dogs.  If we do not have our nose in a training book we are practicing or out having fun adventures.

We are super excited about dressing up at shows, but we are a down to earth no frills group.  We do OFA and Genetic Health testing for common Aussie health issues to make sure our dogs will not have any long term "avoidable" health issues.  We also do conformation and temperament testing along with early neurological stimulation.  We only bred select pairs for future show prospects so we do not have many litters, but when we do they get constant attention, exposure to new sounds, textures, kids, critters and the ever famous Scrappy Cat desensitization.  We support all available registries.  We strive to find wonderful ever after homes for the pups we do not hold back as prospects.  All pups homed as show or breeding prospects are pet first, potential super star second.

We are always available to help with questions, mentor and support our puppy families.  We do not restrict our owners with complicated contracts. We do have a spay/neuter agreement.  We do ask to be contacted if a pup must be rehomed. We believe in the honor system and hope that our pups speak for themselves.
